Family of Messiah is on the brink of a major undertaking.
For over two decades, we've had a vision of what YAH was going to accomplish through us. It was clear that He was going to use us to establish something far greater than ourselves. We knew it was going to happen, but we had no idea how or when it would all come to fruition. In July 2016, YAHUAH let us know that it was time to bring the dream into reality - to bring the spiritual into the physical.
The Story
Behind the Story
Mika'el and Ruth Dunn have been married for 33 years. For almost their entire lives, the Almighty has been preparing them to be spiritual leaders for His people.
From the time they were young, both possessed a sincere concern for the well-being of others. As a child, Ruth cared for her siblings and assisted elderly neighbors. As a teen, she joined the fight for civil rights. She started her career in nursing and loved caring for those in need. However, the pain of losing patients to sickness was too much to bear. She changed to a career in electronic engineering, but nursing never left her heart. Throughout her life, she continued to nurse many back to spiritual, mental, and emotional health. She has been involved with countless people on a personal level as people are continuously drawn to her caring heart.
Mika'el began showing his concern for people in his young adult life. He fostered close friendships with special needs young men, and he joined organizations that served the homeless and visited the sick and elderly. He, too, joined the fight for civil rights, leaving his hometown of Oregon, Wisconsin to help minorities and low-income communities in rural Mississippi.
As a married team, Mika'el and Ruth joined forces and continued to impact the lives of those around them in a positive way. They spent several years serving the poor and needy through street ministry, seeking out people to help. Often, they didn't have to go far as people as close as their own neighborhood began to seek them out as a source of help.
In 2000, YAHUAH told Ruth that it was time for them to start caring for His people full-time, and Family of Messiah was established. They began helping even more people and affecting more lives. With limited means, they distributed food, clothing, and household goods, and assisted with rent and utility needs.
Of all their works, however, none can compare to the impact they've had on people's spiritual well-being. Outside of weekly worship services, they have ministered to the spiritual, mental, and emotional needs of many through prayer and counseling. Their works have brought life to people in more ways than one.
Their joy is to serve the Almighty through serving His people, and they have served people near and far – from South Carolina to California to Ghana, England, Germany, the Philippines, and more.
The PROJECT
What began so many years ago in our personal lives is now coming to fruition. After five years in a small office unit and twelve years in a storefront unit, it's time for Family of Messiah to expand our reach to help more people and to have an even greater impact on the world for His Name's sake.
YAHUAH is leading us to prepare ourselves for the people. It's time to secure our own land and build a House for His Name – a place to worship the Almighty and to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people.
This is a big endeavor, and when we look at the general scope of what YAH wants to accomplish, we are reminded of the promise to Abraham:
Bereshith/Genesis 12:1-3 -- "And יהוה [YAHUAH] said to Abram, “Go yourself out of your land, from your relatives and from your father’s house, to a land which I show you. (2) And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing! (3) And I shall bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you. And in you all the clans of the earth shall be blessed.”"
It's time for us to go to a new land. There, YAHUAH will establish us, make us great, and bless us because His Presence will be in our midst in the Dwelling Place that we build for His Name. He will bless us so that we can be a blessing to all - helping anyone and everyone we can reach, near and far.
The promise to Abraham outlines the three phases of Project Abraham:
Phase I – Acquiring the Land
Phase II – Building His House
Phase II – Blessing the Earth
Phase I
Acquiring the Land
And יהוה [YAHUAH] said to Abram,
“Go yourself out of your land, from your relatives and from your father’s house, to a land which I show you."
(Ber/Gen. 12:1)
Family of Messiah has always existed in rental units - a small office space and presently a storefront unit. Now, it's time for us to move forward and build the House of YAHUAH and the Storehouse. It is necessary to have our own facilities to complete the plans that YAH has for us.
The first step in our plan is to purchase land for the building. We are seeking property in Dorchester County, South Carolina for the House of YAH and the Storehouse.
Phase II
Building His House
“And I shall make you a great nation,
and bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing!"
(Ber/Gen. 12:2)
The focal point of the entire project is to build a Dwelling Place for the Name and the Esteem of the Almighty YAHUAH. We will build a place that is truly set-apart, not connected or affiliated with any other building or entity.
His House will be "a house of prayer for all the peoples" -- where anyone can come and worship the Almighty. Anyone in need of prayer or healing can come and receive the spiritual help that they need. Offerings of prayer and praise will be made continually to our Elohim, and the service to YAHUAH will be restored.

When His House is built, then the drought - the hardships and sufferings - will no longer be in the land, among His people. Peace, prosperity, and healing will flow from the House to all the world.
Phase III
Blessing the World
“And I shall bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you.
And in you all the clans of the earth shall be blessed.”
(Ber/Gen. 12:3)
From the beginning, our ministry has been centered around helping people with their needs. With limited means, we've helped people with food, clothing, household goods, and financial assistance.
With the hard times ahead, it's imperative that we establish a Storehouse for the needs of the people. Not only will we help with the needs that people face daily, but we will be ready for the mass troubles ahead. We believe that with every day that passes, we're drawing one step closer to the end-times. This time is prophesied in the Scriptures to be a time of great distress on the earth. The “world-as-we-know-it” will end for many people. Lives will be drastically affected.
YAH has been telling us for years that we are going to be instrumental in saving the lives of many during this time. He has informed us of the disasters ahead, and we have to be ready to help multitudes of people at once. The troubles will come, and they will be traumatic - but YAH will have us ready!

We will build a Storehouse to contain food, water, and emergency supplies in bulk. It will be a point of distribution in times of mass disaster and a food pantry/cafeteria on a daily basis.
Currently, we are at the beginning of Project Abraham with
Phase I - Acquiring the Land.
