A New Decree for Thanksgiving Day Observed in Set-Apartness
"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." (Iyob/Job 22:28)
I, Ruth Dunn, Prophetess of YAH Elohim the Almighty, now proclaim a Day of Thanks to the Almighty YAHUAH Elohim our One and Only Saviour. It shall take place on the same day as the secular American Thanksgiving holiday; however, this Day of Thanks will be a set-apart celebration in thanks to YAHUAH.
YAHUAH is Saviour of the world! He is Sovereign over all. He hears all, sees all, and knows all. We have much to thank Him for. Therefore, we are acknowledging all thanks to YAH on this Day.
This Day of Thanks is to be celebrated in the last week of the month of November, on the 4th Wednesday and Thursday of the month. The 4th Wednesday in the evening shall be a preparation day. The following day, the 4th Thursday of the month, is the day of celebration and giving thanks.
This Day of Thanks to YAH is international. It's not just for America but for all nations throughout the four corners of the world. All people around the world can join in this Day of Thanks to YAH! It's for everyone to be thankful to our Maker for His goodness.
Wherever you might be, you are welcome to thank and praise the Almighty for His goodness and all His benefits.
Overview
Dates: November 27, 2019 - November 28, 2019
Our celebration will begin on the 4th Wednesday of November at evening. This is the preparation day. Then, the following day, the 4th Thursday of November, is our Day of Thanks.
The Day of Thanks is already a day off from work; therefore, we take advantage of this to celebrate with friends and family. The celebration will begin and end before the weekly Sabbath, so there will be no interference.
These are not set-apart days as commanded in the Torah, but like Esther, we too are proclaiming a day to honor YAH and give Him thanks and praise. We will show our thanks by giving gifts to one another and to the poor. We will also remember the sick and elderly to send them a portion.
Ester 9:22 "as the days on which the Yehuḏim had rest from their enemies, as the month which was turned from sorrow to joy for them, and from mourning to a good day, that they should make them days of feasting and joy, of sending portions to one another and gifts to the poor."
Iyob/Job 22:28 "And whatever you decide on shall be established for you, and light shine on your ways."
Preparation
On the eve of Thanksgiving (Wed. evening), we will praise YAH and open the Day of Thanks through prayer and praise. Then, we will rejoice as we cook, bake, and make preparations for the celebration.
Foods for the Observance
Prepare foods that are in season and are being harvested at this time of year. Vegetables may be greens (collard, mustard, turnip, etc.), winter squash, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, or any other fall vegetable. Fruits may be pears, grapes, figs, or apples. Meats can be turkey, lamb, chicken, beef, or any other kosher animals. Side dishes can be of your choosing, such as rice, potatoes, pasta, stuffing, etc.
There shall be no pork, shellfish, or any other unclean foods. All foods prepared are to be kosher according to the Wayyiqra/Leviticus 11 guidelines.
Celebrating the Day of Thanks
On the morning of the celebration (Thurs.), we will pray and praise YAH. We will give thanks to the Almighty Elohim Maker of the heavens and the earth for all His goodness.
Throughout the day, we will rejoice and be glad. At a time convenient for you and your family, prepare to have the Thanksgiving Meal.
Get ready to eat! All has been prepared!
Prayers of Thanksgiving to YAH:
Before the meal, choose a leader to lead the following prayers:
We gratefully thank You, for it is You Who are YAHUAH, our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers for all eternity; our Rock, the Rock of our lives, Shield of our salvation are You from generation to generation. We shall thank You and relate Your praise - for our lives that are committed to Your power and for our souls that are entrusted to You; for Your miracles that are with us every day; and for Your wonders and favors in every season - evening, morning, and afternoon. The Beneficent One, for Your compassions were never exhausted, and the Compassionate One, for Your kindnesses never ended - for we have always put our hope in You. For all these, may Your Name be blessed, exalted, and extolled, our Sovereign, continually forever and ever.
Everything alive will gratefully acknowledge You, Selah! And praise and bless Your great Name sincerely, forever, for it is good. O Elohim of our salvation and help, Selah! The Beneficent Elohim. Blessed are You, [YAHUAH], Your Name is “The Beneficent One” and to You it is fitting to give thanks. So Be It.
Modim of the Rabbis
We gratefully thank You, for it is You Who are [YAHUAH], our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers, the Elohim of all flesh, our Molder, the Molder of the universe. Blessings and thanks are due Your great and set-apart Name for You have given us life and sustained us. So may You continue to give us life and sustain us and gather our exiles to the Courtyards of Your Sanctuary to observe Your decrees, to do Your will and to serve You wholeheartedly. (We thank You) for inspiring us to thank You. Blessed is the Elohim of thanksgiving.
So Be It.
"Come, let us sing to YAHUAH! Let us raise a shout to the Rock of our deliverance. Let us come before His face with thanksgiving; Let us raise a shout to Him in song. For YAHUAH is a great El, And a great Sovereign above all mighty ones. In whose hand are the depths of the earth; The mountain peaks are His also. His is the sea, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down and bend low, Let us kneel before YAHUAH our Maker. For He is our Elohim, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice:" So be it
(Teh/Ps. 95:1-7)
-- Eat and Rejoice --
Prayer after Meal: Birkat Hamazon
Blessed are You, יהוה our Elohim, Sovereign of the universe, Who nourishes the entire world in His goodness-with favor, with kindness, and with compassion. He gives nourishment to all flesh, for His kindness is everlasting. And through His great goodness, we have never lacked, and may we never lack nourishment, forever and ever. For the sake of His Great Name, because He is Elohim Who nourishes and sustains all, and benefits all, and He prepares food for all of His creatures which He has created. And it is said; ‘You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.' Blessed are You יהוה, Who nourishes all.
Ha-Rach-a-man (The Compassionate One)! May He send us abundant blessing to this house and upon this table at which we have eaten. HaRachaman! May He bless me (my wife/husband, my children) and all that is mine. May He bless all who have eaten here today and all that is theirs; ours and all that is ours, just as our forefathers Abraham, Yitshaq, and Ya’aqob were blessed in everything, from everything, with everything. So may He bless us all together with a perfect blessing. And let us say: So Be It!
Closing the Festival
On Thursday evening, close the Day of Thanks with prayers and praise and eating sweet desserts.
Thank You YAH for You are Good and Your kindness is everlasting! So Be It
Praise YAHUAH of Hosts, for YAHUAH is Good, for His kindness is forever! So Be it!
We thank YAH for inspiring us to have a Day of Thanks dedicated to Him and His laws and for His people. We thank Him for setting the month aside (a month with no festivals or set-apart days) to allow this day to fit into its spot. YAH is so good! Thank You O יהוה !!!
Let all add this Day of Thanks to their observances!
